It is essential to review the knowledge attainment levels of Knowledge Exchange Recipients. The Knowledge Exchange Lead must therefore plan for review mechanisms to gauge these levels.
Relationships
Main Description

The objective of this task is to design a Knowledge Exchange Assessment Plan for reviewing the knowledge attainment levels of  Knowledge Exchange Recipients  with respect to the transitioning applications.

This will typically include areas like:

  • Medium of assessment
  • Number of assessment cycles
  • Assessment techniques
  • Stage during transition lifecycle when the assessment has to be carried out
  • Stakeholders who will carry out the assessments
  • Assessment schedules
  • Assessment checkpoint.

The knowledge attainment levels of the Knowledge Exchange Recipients can be checked  by means of tests, questionnaires, tracking of the required assistance level while live ticket resolution, and  playback sessions. The format of the assessment channel can be agreed upon by all stakeholders, and collaboratively developed by the SME and the Knowledge Exchange Recipients.

The Knowledge Exchange Acceptance Criteria is then defined for the decided assessment medium(s). This task  provides inputs for getting the knowledge acceptance sign-off from all stakeholders and is done during the Prepare And Design phase. For e.g. In some large transitions the SMEs may have completed the Knowledge Exchange, however on assessment it may be revealed that the recipient may have acquired only 60-70% of the information.

Whether this would be acceptable or not would be decided jointly by all stakeholders based on the Knowledge Exchange Acceptance Criteria defined in the next task.
